ICE 416L To The Rescue

On 24th Feb 2003, a landslide occurred at Johor Bahru (JB), Malaysia causing extensive damage to a water pipeline. This water pipeline, 1300m long carries water from the Johore River treatment plant at Kota Tinggi to the main pipeline at JB where majority of residential areas are located. The damage resulted in a severe shortage of water to the residents in JB. Technicians were sent to perform emergency repairs. The ICE 416L vibratory hammer was used to install sheetpiles and H-beams during these repair works.
