The Casagrande Hydraulic Rig B180 was recently commissioned to leading contractor Quek & Quek Civil Engineering Pte Ltd for the drainage improvement works at the Alexandra Canal. The unit is currently working well and productive on site.
Using the H18.11 rotary head, the B180 is capable of drilling boreholes up to a diameter of 2200 mm and up to a maximum depth of 67m. The maximum main winch line pull is 180 kN while the maximum auxiliary line pull is 70kN. The crowd ram maximum extraction force and the maximum crowd force is 211 kN and 125 kN respectively.
